the circular specimen marble top centered by a chess board within geometric borders, the conforming table stand with a molded frieze raised on a twist-turned standard with foliate gadrooned foot raised on a tripartite plinth with acanthus-carved paw feet, on casters.

Condition

Overall good condition; the marble top in good restored condition with an old repaired broken section to the edge approximately 24 inches in length by 4 inches in depth at the widest part which is visible to the underside, the top side with some uneven marble pieces standing slightly proud in places and with later filler between pieces; the underside of the entire rim with infilling; some small replacements and repairs to the edges; some candle wax residue to the top and with some old scratches; one 4-inch mark to one green marble banding of the edge; the stand in good condition; sturdy; some nicks, chips and wear to the top molded edge of the frieze consistent with rubbing with top; chips and losses to veneers of plinth particularly to the canted corners and to two sides; two sides with a vertical age crack to center with some infiling; one foot with large chip to scroll above paw foot; another foot with chip to scroll above paw foot; feet with scuffs, nicks, scratches and bruises; two acanthus-carved brackets with some losses to leaf-tips; nicks, scuffs and wear to leaf carving; overall with some old marks, scratches scuffs and bruises.
