Description

  • 1638 cup with maker's mark GF device below in heart; 1660 cup with maker's mark HN bird with olive branch below (revised Jackson, p. 122)

the first with tall flared sides and punch-beaded with lobes within arches, the base with a stylized flowerhead, engraved below rim with early initials H*D, S, and R/S.I, scroll handles; the second of shallow circular form, the sides punch-beaded with panels enclosing sprays of triple flowers, the center with a hexafoil, wire scroll handles

1638 cup with ols repair to one handle and tiny split at rim near that handle, otherwise good, 1660 cup very good condition
