the cover mounted under glass with a head & shoulders miniature of Prince Potemkin wearing numerous orders, within a split pearl rim, the sides and base of the box decorated with translucent caramel enamel, within chased borders of leaves of beads, highlighted with translucent green and opalescent enamel, the interior bearing a presentation inscription

the miniature possibly associated and with two cracks, some restoration to side enamel
