There is a shallow 1/4 inch chip to the rim and several very minor rim frits or shallow chips. There is some very minor fritting to the handle. Otherwise in good condition.

This service was made for Sir Edward Hughes, who was the Admiral of the Blue and Commander-in-Chief in the East Indies from 1773 to 1783. The motto 'Tria Juncta in Uno' is of the Order of the Bath, which is from Sir Edward's ancester, Sir Thomas Hughes, who was Recorder of Bath and knighted in 1619.
