the pierced swan's-neck pediment centering a spread-winged eagle perched on a sphere above an arcaded frieze and pair of panelled doors inlaid with fruit and flower-filled cornucopiae, floral scrolls and central garlands, opening to shelves, flanked by a pair of astragal-glazed doors enclosing fabric-lined shelves, all above two short and two long drawers flanked by panelled doors with similar decoration and opening to interiors fitted for shelves, raised on bracket feet.  Losses.

Condition

Overall good condition; the cresting in two parts, the left side having come away from the central join and in need of gluing, small loss to top of this part of cresting at join with central part; small losses to veneers of cresting; finials lacking; the left upper section with lifting and losses to the banding of the side panel; the lower section with a loss to the lower molding of the door; the central upper section with some small chips to veneer of doors to edges; the central lower section with a split to the front left corner on the left side panel; small chips to veneer to top right edge; right side molding loose but present; the right section with lifting to banding of right side panels; lifting to middle molding of right side panel; small chips to veneer of lower section at join with central section; overall with some old scratches and losses to veneers, a number of moldings, and veneers in a bag in need of re-gluing.
