the circular top centered by a foliate and geometric inlaid brass-panel within an inlaid brass banding, the frieze inlaid with brass flower heads alternating with geometric designs, the whole tilting above a circular flaring stem with acanthus leaf carving above a gadrooned foot on a tripartite base inlaid with brass stringing and raised on paw feet headed by shells and flanked by scrolls, on casters.

Condition

Overall good restored condition; the top with lifting to stringing of edge with restorations; top with long thin age cracks/tears to veneer with some inpainting; slight lifting to veneers in places; the underside of the top appears to have later boards possibly to correct warpage of top; bearers reset; the rectangular support to top of stem with two dowels to one side and four dowels to the other filling in holes or supports to central rectangular block; the tripartite base with lifting to veneers over possible nails or construction lines underneath; age cracks to veneers of concave sides of base and with long horizontal age crack with lifting and losses to veneer; minor chips to base of sides; feet and stem re-gilt; overall with old marks and scratches.
