Catalogue Note

"[Melotti's] sudden, fanciful inspirations, his most forceful insights, his splendid simplifications and complex orchestrations, all come into being under the régime of mathematical and musical laws. But under this same régime live jugglers, ballad singers, fools, children." (Abraham Marie Hammacher cited in: Exhibition Catalogue, London, Malborough Fine Art Ltd., Fausto Melotti, 1973, n.p.)
