Francis Rose, peintre portraitiste anglais (1909-1979), fut aussi décorateur de théatre pour les ballets russes à l'instar de Christian Bérard.

Condition

Très bon état général. La toile n'est pas ré-entoilée. Un examen attentif a révélé deux infimes manques de peinture sur la manche du personnage de droite. Il n'y a aucune trace de retouche visible après examen à la lampe de wood. A close inspection reveals two pin-head-sized nicks to the canvas on the sleeve of the right-hand figure. There is no evidence of retouching visible under UV light.
