Condition

The sheet is intentionally torn across the lower left corner, where the backing board is visible. There are further tears along all but the right edge and a further loss along the upper edge in the upper left quadrant. These all appear to be inherent to the work. There are a number of specks of white paint across the lower two quadrants, which appear to be the artist's media marks. There are one or two other slight stains to the sheet, which again may be inherent to the work. Held under glass in a gilt plaster and wooden frame; unexamined out of frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
