Condition
Original canvas.
There are a few small scattered spots of craquelure; a few small spots to the house, to the foreground and a small spot to the grass near the centre of the right edge. There is a larger area of craquelure and undulation to the canvas in the sky in the upper left quadrant. The surface is slightly dirty but otherwise the work is in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals a few tiny flecked cosmetic retouchings near the centre and to the left of the upper edge, a few tiny flecks near the lower edge, and one fleck near the centre of the right edge.
Held in a gilt and painted plaster frame.
