Condition

The board is sound. The paint surface is intentionally uneven and worked. There are a few tiny specks of surface abrasion: one in the top right hand corner along the upper edge, a few to the vertical thorn and to the left of the vertical thorn in the upper right quadrant, and a few scattered in infrequent places. There is also some slight frame abrasion along the very upper edge. Under ultraviolet light there is an area of fluorescence in the upper right quadrant which appears to be the artist's work. Held in a wooden frame with a gilded edge. Please contact the department on 0207 293 6424 if you have any questions about the present work.
