Condition
Original canvas. The canvas undulates slightly in the corners. There are two small areas approximately 2cm. long near the centre of the lower edge where the canvas has worn and the thread is exposed with resultant paint loss. There is a faint horizontal stretcher bar mark across the centre of the work and stretcher bar marks along the top and bottom edges. There are a few marks of surface matter in places across the canvas.
Under ultraviolet light there appear to be no signs of retouching.
Held in a simple stained wood frame.
