Condition
The sheet has been laid down.
The sheet is coming away from the backboard slightly, in the bottom right corner and along the lower edge. There are artist pinholes in each corner. There are a few creases in places across the sheet and what appears to be an old tear in the white shape in the lower left quadrant. These appear to be inherent to the work. There is some slight craquelure to the brown pigment in the upper left quadrant. The surface of the sheet is wonderfully textured and expressive.
Ultraviolet light reveals no apparent signs of retouching.
Held in a wooden and gilt rectangular frame within a white mount under glass; unexamined out of frame.
