Original canvas.
The work is in good overall condition, ready to hang.
Ultraviolet light reveals a few extremely tiny cosmetic flecked retouchings, one to the figure's leg near the lower right corner, one along the left of the lower edge, two to the back of the woman playing piano, a small speck on the upper lip of the central standing figure, two to the purple pigment on the central sleeping figure and one or two other tiny specks, which are almost invisible under close inspection.
