Condition
There are stretcher marks along each edge but otherwise the canvas is in good overall condition.
There is a small area of paint loss in the upper right quadrant near the right edge. There is an isolated horizontal line of paint loss in the lower right quadrant. There are two tiny specks of old paint loss in the lower left quadrant. There are isolated areas of craquelure in scattered areas across the surface.
Examination under ultra-violet light reveals three small spots of retouching near the area of paint loss in the middle of the right edge. There are further isolated spots of retouching in the middle near the upper edge and in a tiny area in the lower right quadrant.
Held in a simple wooden rectilinear frame.
