the bureau surmounted by three lights issuing forth from a gilt-bronze swan, the cylinder front sliding back to reveal a niche flanked by shelves and small drawers before a gilt-tooled green leather-lined sliding writing panel, above three freize drawers.  One lock plate signed SORMANI PARIS / 134 Boul^{d Haussmann}, one mount has been removed to reveal the PS stamp from the bronze master model.  Together with the original key.

Overall good condition; the veneers with the minor nicks, scratches and bruises consistent with age and use; the original gilt-tooled green leather writing surface with scratches, stains and scuffs; the gilt-bronze has been cleaned and retains its original gilding; the electric sockets appear to have been re-wired; glass shades are in good condition.
