The gilt-bronze retaining original gilding and cleaned; two gilt-bronze bandings to two legs lacking; three other bandings slightly loose; one banding lacking bottom tip; table wobbly; front feet lacking ball toes; visible restoration to the concave tops of legs with visible overpainting; overall with the usual scratches, nicks and bruises.

The attribution of Paul Sormani as the maker of the present lot is based on the very high quality of manufacturing of the bronze casting, gilding, chasing and construction. The present lot also bears close similarity to a fine table ambulante, which sold in these rooms, A Private Collection, April 19, 2007, lot 134, bearing the exact same peculiar tapering legs and foliate cast mount issuing toupie feet and the baluster cast gallery.
