Description

  • mahogany, bronze, marble
  • height 33 3/4 in.; width 41 1/4 in.; depth 20 1/4 in.
  • 85.5 cm; 105 cm; 51.5 cm
surmounted by a rouge de Maine marble top, fitted with a frieze drawer above two long drawers.  Handles stamped EM.

Condition

Overall good condition; the marble top with usual minor chips to edges and light surface scratches; the gilt-bronze cleaned and retaining original gilding and with minor areas of tarnishing and dirt; the two lower drawers each with a loose right handle, which is detached but present, one handle is in need of a threaded bolt and a nut, the other is lacking a nut; the veneers in good condition with thin chip to veneer of the drawer divider beneath the bottom left corner of the frieze drawer; minor nicks and bruises to edges of carcass.
