Description

  • height 18 3/4 in.; width square 7 3/4 in.
  • 47.6 cm; 19.7 cm
two plaques signed Gorner, the dial stamped BAILEY BANKS & BIDDLE CO / PHILADELPHIA.  The movement with the Japy freres pastille mark and stamped MADE IN FRANCE.  The underside of the porcelain base with a pseudo Vienna mark.

Condition

Overall very good condition; the gilt-bronze appears to have been cleaned and with very minor areas of pitting; the porcelain in very good condition with some very minor light surface scratches; gilding to the porcelain in very good condition; mount slightly loose in places and could be tightened; otherwise, clock is sturdy.
