the gallery flanked by two Meissen figures. The underside of one figure with a cross swords in underglaze blue and incised numerals, one plaque has been removed to reveal indecipherable red inked inscriptions.
Condition
Overall good condition; the two associated Meissen figures are glued to the carcass; top left figure detached from cabinet but present and with visible restoration to figure's proper left hand; the other figure to superstructure with loss to proper left hand; front left corbel figure slightly loose to frieze; back right corbel figure with replaced proper right arm and lacking wood block support top; visible restoration and overpainting to front left figure's trumpet and proper left arm; visible restoration to back right figure's trumpet and loss to finger tips of proper left hand and with replaced thumb to proper right hand; visible restoration joins of stretchers and at joins of side stretchers with legs to base with overpainting; ebonized decoration with some scratches and chips and wear.
