Overall in fair original condition; craquelure to the decorated surface with small areas of inpainting and small chips and losses; the surface dry and the varnish yellowed; the finely cast and chased mounts with tarnishing and dirt consistent with age and retaining original gilding; the veneers to the interior have retained their bright colors; extensive losses and wear to silk-velvet lining.
