Description

  • comprising: Teapot, Hot Water Urn on Stand, covered Sugar Bowl, Creamer and two-handled Tray, each with maker's mark and French control marks

each piece with fluted lower body below a running band of ribbon-wrapped berried laurel, the fluted domed covers with bud finials, reeded angular handles, the hot water urn on three supports headed by rams' heads and terminating in hoof feet and with spigot formed as a ram head, the rectangular tray with canted corners, conforming border and loop handles centered by rams' heads

Purchased by Felix Suares, one of the founders of the National Bank of Egypt, and descended in the family.

Condition

foot of sugar bowl needs straightening, ding to neck of hot water urn , tray with some small dings and scratches to surface, overall good condition
