Description

  • 19 cm; 11.5 cm; 16 cm
the cup carved in the round with does and stags, the relief carved with a scene depicting the assasination of Henry IV of France.

Condition

The goblet set on a faux red coral wooden base; overall in good condition showing dirt and patina consistent with touching; two ivory plugs visible to the base of the goblet bowl covering pins; the plaque in good condition and presentation and with three horizontal hairline age cracks to upper section; both sides of the relief with two old pin holes for mounting to a frame with dark residue left. Please note this lot contains endangered material which may require a CITES permit to export. Please contact the department with any questions prior to sale.
