the central oval panel depicting a bacchanalian scene with putti in the foreground and a castle in the background.

Condition

The rim is comprised of eight panels; all seem to have been remounted and restored with discoloration to the inpainted restoration; loss to scepter to lower right bottom panel; the inner rim with restorations to the ivory panels; the central plaque with a diagonal hairline age crack to the left side and with a small shim to a crack to the left edge; small chips, rubbing and wear to the ivory overall. Please note this lot contains endangered material which may require a CITES permit to export. Please contact the department with any questions prior to sale.
