Condition

The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the white wall and along the upper edge, and a few very minor fine lines to the figure's right cheek. This work is in overall good condition, with rich, fresh colour and a clean surface. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame, with a name plate.
