Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered strokes and spots of retouching in the lower half under a thick yellowed varnish. There is craquelure, notably in the sky, with several flecks of paint loss, and some frame abrasion at the extreme edges. There are eight patches visible on the reverse. Held in an elaborate gold-painted plaster and wood frame.
