Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered spots of retouching, notably along the extreme right edge, scattered spots to the sky and to the rocky outcrops furthest right, and to a repaired tear at the centre of the sky. Apart from some craquelure to the face of the closest camel, this work is in good condition, with rich colours and tones. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
