Condition

Original canvas. There are scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably along the edges of the canvas, a spot in the sky above the right-hand tower of the Castell, and scattered flecks at the upper right of the sky. There is scattered surface dirt, craquelure and flecks of frame rubbing along the extreme edges. This work exhibits rich tones and fine detail, and would improve with a light professional cleaning. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
