Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There is retouching visible under ultraviolet light in the upper-right quarter, with scattered spots of retouching visible elsewhere, notably several spots in the centre of the composition, with minor spots at the centre of the extreme left edge. There is frame abrasion at the extreme corners, the centre of the left edge and centre of the upper edge, and pinholes. The work has been cleaned, apart from a 6-7mm band along the extreme upper and lower edges. Overall the work is in good condition, with fresh colours and a clean surface, and is ready to hang. Held in a decorative gold-painted wood and moulded plaster frame.
