Condition

Original canvas. There are no traces of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. There are two small holes parallel to the lower edge (visible in the catalogue illustration). There is some localised vertical hairline craquelure, notably in the lower-right quarter. Apart from some light surface dirt, which could be corrected with a light professional clean, overall this work is in good original condition, with good impasto. Held in a simple, gold-painted carved wood frame.
