Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered spots of retouching, notably to the sky and upper corners of the canvas, and to a spot of retouched paint loss under the right arm of the male figure on the right. Apart from a few flecks of paint loss near the lower left corner, a spot of grey paint loss to the horse's tail (revealing brown pigment beneath) and scattered craquelure and surface dirt, this work is in good condition, with rich colours and a strong surface. Held in a simple, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
