Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably flecks and spots to the sky, and a larger area at the upper right quadrant of the composition. Apart from scattered areas of craquelure, notably to the sky and to the darker horses at the centre, this work is in good condition. Held in a simple, wide, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame, with moulded designs at the corners.
