Condition

The sheet has been laid on canvas, and there are scattered repaired tears along the edges of the work, notably at the lower left and right corners (ea. approx. 7cm.) and to the upper extreme right edge. There are scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the trees, the bottom of the monk's robes and to the lower left corner. Apart from some light frame rubbing along the right and lower edges, this work is in good condition, with rich colours and fine detail. Held in a simple, wide, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
