Condition

The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably a 2.5 by 5cm. L-shaped repaired tear at the upper left, spots through the sky and water, a 12.5cm. vertical line at the lower left edge (to address a possible scrape) and a circle directly beneath the boat at the farthest right. This work is in overall good condition, with rich colours and areas of strong impasto. Held in a simple wood frame with a cream canvas insert.
