Original canvas. There are scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the upper left and lower right corners and to the centre of the extreme left edge. Apart from small holes to the upper extreme left edge and to the centre of the extreme right edge, some light frame abrasion along the right and left edges and some scattered flecks of paint loss, notably along the lower edge, this work is in good condition, with rich colours. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame decorated with acanthus leaves, with a name plate.
