Condition

The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably near the upper and lower edges. Apart from some light craquelure to the darker pigments at the lower left, this work is in good condition, with rich colours and tones, and ready to hang. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame with a name plate.
