Condition

Original canvas. There is a large area of retouching to the sky, visible under ultraviolet light, and a small spot to a repair at the upper right (patched on the reverse). Apart from scattered spots of overcleaning and an area of paint shrinkage to the upper layer of pigment (revealing the ligth blue pigment beneath) along the upper edge, this work is in good, clean condition, with rich colours and tones. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
