Condition
The canvas has been re-lined, There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably along the extreme right and left edges, and to the darker areas of the left-hand figure's clothing. Apart from scattered areas of fine craquelure, this work is in good condition, with rich colours and tones. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame with a name plate.
