folio (290x194 mm), 100 carte non numerate, 39 linee, carattere romano, grandi margini, al recto della prima bianca 7 righe di mano antica che riportano un passo di Orosio, sulla seconda carta capolettera P rubricato in rosso e uno stemma con leone bianco in campo rosso fiancheggiato dalle lettere IO ST, pergamena antica, dorso a 4 nervi con tassello, tagli a spruzzo, 2 ex libris sui contropiatti. Piccoli fori di tarlo marginali sulle prime 6 carte e che toccano il testo ma senza perdita sulle ultime 6, cuffia inferiore danneggiata, piccoli fori di tarlo sul dorso.

Condition
Some stains on the recto of the first leave, some worm-holes on the on the first 6 leaves, a small worm-hole through the text of the first 12 leaves. Some small worm-holes touching text without loss on the last 6 leaves. A vertical crease on inner margin of leave 95. Foot of spine damaged, small worm-holes on spine.

Orosio, un ecclesiastico della Spagna romana, tentò di confutare nei suoi scritti la diffusa tesi che le invasioni barbariche fossero dovute all'ira degli dei pagani contro i romani che avevano abbandonato il loro culto in favore del Cristianesimo. L'edizione che presentiamo è la seconda, dopo quella di Augusta del 1471, ed è considerata il primo dei 12 libri stampati da Hermann Liechtenstein a Vicenza tra il 1475 e il 1480.
