folio (270x200 mm), 152 carte non numerate, 39 linee, carattere gotico, grandi margini, firme di appartenenza sulla prima carta cassate, sulla quarta carta capolettera L miniato in rosso, verde, rosa, giallo e blu con estensioni e stemma di epoca successiva iscritto F./CAMILLI / BALIAN / A, alcuni capilettera in rosso, le due carte di contenuto rubricate in rosso, note marginali di mano antica un poco rifilate, pergamena di epoca leggermente successiva, dorso e taglio inferiore manoscritti, ex libris manoscritto sull'ultima carta: Conventij Carmelitani [...]. Aloni di umidità marginali, soprattutto sulle ultime carte, piccolo strappo sul margine bianco della carta 33, pergamena sporca, piccoli strappi sul dorso.

Deleted signatures on the first leaf, fisrt 2 leaves soiled, ancient marginalia a bit trimmed, water-staining, extensive on some leaves, especially on the last ones, a small white stain on the word "primus" on leave 4, short tear at blank margin of leaf 33, vellum soiled, some tears at spine.

Leone I - papa dal 440 al 460 - offre nei sui scritti uno spaccato della storia imperiale ed ecclesiale del V secolo, caratterizzata dalle difficoltà causate dalle invasioni barbariche. L'edizione presentata ha il commento dell'umanista Giovanni Andrea de' Bussi vescovo di Aleria.
