STRUCTURE The canvas is original. There is some minor craquelure in places and on close inspection some very light paint separation to areas of impasto. There is some very light surface dirt in places. Otherwise in good condition UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There are some small areas of fluorescent pigment to the sitter's face which is likely to be intrinsic to the work rather than as a result of retouching. FRAME Held in a lightly decorative gold painted frame in fair condition.
