Condition
STRUCTURE:
This painting is unlined and in excellent original condition with no visible craquelure and rich texture throughout. The central vertical stretcher bar has pressed against the back of the canvas and left an indentation but this is only visible upon close inspection. The varnish has discoloured slightly and the painting may therefore benefit from a light surface clean.
UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
There are no obvious signs of retouching.
FRAME
This picture is contained in a moulded plaster frame (in good condition).
