STRUCTURE This picture is relined and in very good condition with rich colouring throughout. There are areas of fine craquelure visible in the sky but this appears to be stable and is only visible upon close inspection. The picture would benefit greatly from a light clean as the varnish has discoloured and is covered by a layer of dirt. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There are no obvious signs of retouching. FRAME This picture is contained in a moulded gilt frame (in excellent condition).
