Catalogue Note
Worm was also a noted collector of natural history who formed a large collection of minerals, plants, animals, antiques and works of arts primarily for use in teaching. He formed a museum in Copenhagen which became one of the city's major attractions and after his death was purchased by Frederick III, who transferred it to Copenhagen Castle. It later became absorbed into the Danish Royal Kunstkammer.
