Condition
The canvas is original and concealed by a backboard - the canvas does not appear to have been laid to the backboard although this is inconclusive. There is some extremely minor paint separation in isolated places only visible on very close inspection. There is some very light frame abrasion in places. Otherwise in good condition. Ultraviolet light reveals some retouching at the extreme edges and to scattered areas in the sky. There is some further minor retouching to the church and foreground. Held in a lightly decorated wooden frame in fair condition. Under glass and unexamined out of frame.
