Condition

The canvas is original. There is a large patch to the reverse corresponding to the lower right section due to a large tear. There are two further (much smaller) patches to the reverse corresponding to the centre of the lower edge and in the upper right quadrant. There is some old paint loss to the extreme lower right corner. There is some minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges. There is some light craquelure and stretcher marks. Ultraviolet light reveals extensive restoration to the right hand section, central section, edges and elsewhere. Held in a decorative gold painted frame in fair condition.
