Condition
STRUCTURE
This picture is in good condition with strong colours and original texture. The panel is flat and has not warped. The top right corner is chipped but this is not visible as it is concealed by the rebate of the frame. There is an area of blooming lower right which would benefit from localised treatment. There are several shallow scratches to the panel but these had been made before the panel was painted. There are three small areas close to the left edge of the panel where the paint surface has been rubbed and the white ground is visible. The picture would benefit from a light clean.
UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
There are no signs of retouching.
FRAME
This picture is contained in an attractive simple wooden gilt frame and under glass.
