Condition
The canvas has been lined. The paint is slightly thin in places. There is some minor craquelure in places. There is some ingrained surface dirt and varnish. Otherwise in good condition. Ultraviolet light reveals extensive retouching to the sky, extreme right edge, the figure and some scattered infilling to the lower left quadrant and elsewhere. Held in a decorative gold painted frame in fair condition.
