Condition
The canvas is original. There is a patch to the reverse in the upper left of the sky due to an old repaired tear. There are minor undulations to the canvas and some very light stretcher marks visible on close inspection. The paint is thin in places. Otherwise in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals retouching and infilling corresponding to the repaired tear upper left. There is a further minor spot of retouching just upper right of centre. Held in a decorative gold painted frame in fair condition.
