Catalogue Note

Executed circa 1919-22, the present work is one of four known very similar compositions painted in the 1920s at Killary Bay, Connemara. They are all easily distinguished by the closely modulated Whistlerian tones of the present work. The present work is numbered 1211 in S.B. Kennedy's ongoing catalogue of Henry's oeuvre.

We are grateful to S.B.Kennedy for his kind assistance with the cataloguing of this work.
